A Win!

Dante's team won their first basketball game last night. YEAH BABY, 22-20!This team sucks so bad! They only practice once a week (if that) for 1 hour. Lately, the coach has been skipping practice all together.

This community allows for basketball teams to be stacked. Meaning kids from one school can sign up with any school they see fit. We did not know this in the beginning, therefore Dante' was stuck with his schools team. Most of them have never played before and the Coach wants everyone to just have a good time. "Winning doesn't matter". I personally think it matters and so does Dante'. Needless to say, he is furious with his team this year. We keep reminding him that this is just a warm up to next year. It doesn't really convince him, but calms him for the next game.

As for James, he is in pre-season practice for track. Looks like he'll be doing high jump, long jump, 400 and 800. I don't know if he can keep up the pace for all four events, but I'm rooting for him. He complaining of sore legs daily. (They run 3 miles M-Th). I'm so proud of him......I'll be in the stands screaming like a fool for another year!
