So close, but so far!

The Da Vinci code is right around the corner and I can't wait. However, Sony Pictures and Ron Howard have a completely different vision of Silas than what I imagined. Nonetheless, I will be there opening day!

How many different ways could you picture an albino??

Okay... after reflecting on that comment, I realize that was a pretty insensitive statement (see why I never comment on these things). Of course I don't mean to imply that all albino people look alike. I guess I was just surprised by your comment because Silas is EXACTLY what I had pictured in my head. Ah well! Sorry if a offended anyone - no harm intended!

In my mind, Silas was much larger in stature. I was expecting a "hulk" of a man as the book describes.

"One mile away, the hulking albino named Silas limped through the front gate of the luxurious brownstone residence on Rue la Bruyere. The spiked cilice belt that he wore around his thigh cut into his flesh, and yet his soul sang with satisfaction of service to the Lord."

Now don't get me wrong I'm not talking Lou Ferrigno(Incredible Hulk) hulk, but a big dude.

Christopher Eccleston is just not big enough for my taste. However, the movie could change my mind.

I cant wait to se this..I bought the new "Fodor's Guide to The Da Vinci Code" and I have made Chris vow that we will see some of the sites talked about in the book.. There is actually a 12 day itinerary with very detailed maps and suggestions, I would love to do this but I may be pushing him a bit on that. Kelly

Kelly! That would be so cool! It almost makes me wish we were still in Europe! Good luck getting Chris to go with you - I know mine would put up a fight!
