First Day

I survived my first day at work. I was so excited about this day to come and it all passed by like a whirlwind.

I bounced out of bed at 0500 ready to face the day. Then it all got really hectic.........

I really wanted to make a good impression, so I tried on 5 different shirts (didn't want to be under dressed).
...and two pairs of shoes.
Only to find out that just about anything goes accept lingerie, pajamas and ratty jeans. However, "dress for the job you want" is still the motto.

I left with plenty of time to spare, but ended up in a snap behind a lovely accident.

Thankfully, Dell had breakfast waiting during orientation.

4.5 hours later, we were free to eat lunch (on site cafeteria with food cooked to order)

Here's were I though things would slow down, but OH NO! They picked up. I locate my supervisor and I am immediately issued a login, laptop, cell phone, desk and a run down of duties. They top it off by notifying me that I will be departing in 30 days for 1 week of training at Round Rock, TX. (No pressure, right?)

I decompressed on the ride home, cooked some dinner and hung out with the kids as long as they tolerated me. Now I am in a daze and can't wait to get to bed. However, I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

So far, I love it!

Sounds wonderful, Vonn! Of course, you'll never have co-workers as cool as you did at Graf! ;-) But, I'm glad you landed such an awesome job! Congrats on making it through the first day!
